It was an exhilarating day at iFLY Queenstown as we welcomed a very special guest – New Zealand’s Prime Minister, Christopher Luxon! Showing his commitment to exploring the potential of tourism and supporting local businesses, the Prime Minister took time out of his busy schedule to experience the thrill of indoor skydiving at our Queenstown facility. The Prime Minister expressed keen interest in the operations of our facility and the role the iFLY business plays in promoting tourism, being an employer of choice, and supporting communities in the region.

After a brief orientation and safety briefing, Prime Minister Luxon donned a personalized flight suit and helmet, embodying the adventurous spirit that Queenstown is renowned for. With guidance from our experienced instructors, he entered the vertical wind tunnel, experiencing the sensation of freefall in a safe and controlled environment. His enthusiasm was palpable as he mastered the art of indoor skydiving, showcasing that adventure knows no bounds, even if you’re the PM of New Zealand!
