An Uplifting Day on Us: iFLY Queenstown Thanks Our Local Healthcare Heroes
Every day, the incredible team at Lakes District Hospital shows up for our community. They’re the ones who care for us when we’re sick, comfort us when we’re scared, and work around the clock to keep us healthy and safe. So when we had the chance to give something back and celebrate First Responder’s Day, we jumped at it – quite literally into our giant wind tunnel!
We were absolutely thrilled to host the amazing staff from Lakes District Hospital for an evening of indoor skydiving. From nurses to doctors to support staff, these legends deserve all the recognition we can give them. Each person at Lakes District Hospital plays a crucial role in looking after our community. They’re not just doing a job – they’re genuinely caring for the people they serve, day in and day out.
Our iFLY wind tunnel became a place of joy and encouragement as colleagues cheered each other on – somewhere these everyday heroes could experience something extraordinary. This wasn’t just about having a good time (though that was definitely part of it!). It was about showing our hospital team that we see them, we appreciate them, and we recognise the incredible work they do.
To the fantastic people at Lakes District Hospital and all the carers in our community – thank you for being there when we need you most, for your skills, your kindness, and your dedication. This night of flight was just a small way of showing our huge appreciation.
